Hello! And welcome to pharmacymuseumnevada.com
My late husband Emanuel (Manny) and I were second generation pharmacists, and have been collecting pharmacy antiques for over 40 years. During and since our careers in community pharmacy, we have always been on the lookout for unique and interesting items to add to our growing collection. On every family vacation, we would always stop at local antique stores and poke around for unique treasures – sometimes this would take hours! (Our kids can tell you all about it!)
We had a few small displays in our home in Orange County California, but were always looking to set up a larger display to showcase our collection.
Sadly Manny passed away before this dream could become a reality, but since my move to Northern Nevada to be closer to my children, I have been able to convert a large RV garage on my property into the Pharmacy Museum Manny and I had always hoped for. We have spent a lot of time and effort adding carpet, painting cabinets and arranging showcases and shelving to maximize the display space for this collection.
This website will show you (some of) the results! I hope that you take some time to scroll through the various sections of the website, including a map showing the various displays, and the numerous pictures of unique and rare antiques.
If you are ever in the Northern Nevada area (Carson City, Reno, Tahoe, N California) and are interested in seeing the museum in person, please send me a quick email through the CONTACT US form and I can arrange something with you. Or if you have any questions about an item that you see, let me know. I am not selling anything but would be happy to try to pass along any information that I can about the items I have on display.
I would love to share this collection with as many people as possible, and hope that this website will do just that. The collection brings me great joy and I am always finding something old, unique and interesting to look at and learn about. I know that Manny would also be very proud to finally have the collection we both worked so hard to curate finally on display.
Thanks for visiting!
